What is acne?

Acne is a skin condition caused by excessive oil production (sebum) of the skin's oil glands. What are the symptoms of acne?

When the skin's surface becomes inflamed it produces a pustule, and further inflammation results in a papule (pimple). Even deeper inflammation results in a cyst. If the oil accumulates melanin (the pigment that gives skin its colour) or becomes oxidised, the oil changes from white to black, resulting in a "blackhead." What causes acne?

Directions for use

Wash hands and face with warm soapy water. Moisten cotton wool and add 2-3 drops of Acne/Pimple Control, gently rubbing it over all areas of acne. This product can also be applied neat directly from the bottle. Repeat process three times a day.
